“You never change anything by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

Saturn has begun Her sojourn in Aquarius – the sign of the Rebel, the Revolutionary, the Seeker of Like Minds, and the Protectress of Community.

Saturn is a slow-moving planet, spending roughly two and a half years in each sign and taking roughly 29 years to make one complete revolution around the zodiac. She is the planet of order, structure, discipline and form. She builds the structures of our world that have lasting validity and social purpose. All good, but Her modus operandi is typically through hard work and forcing us to face where our chains have kept us on our knees and made us a slave to dogma and our own status quo. Saturn is like the task-master teacher whose lessons are hard-learned, but never forgotten.

While in Capricorn, She brought home the issues and hard truths of the patriarchy, big business, and capitalist pursuits. And, in the sign of Aquarius, She promises to teach us the lessons of building true and lasting community, what it means to truly work together to enact change, and what it means to genuinely connect.

Aquarius is the part of us that yearns to break free of the established order, find strength in our tribe, and revolutionize our world. In the Air sign of Aquarius, Saturn will ask that we work to build up alternative structures that connect community, share information, establish social equity, and challenge the patriarchy. To give you a taste of what Saturn in Aquarius can bring, her last transit through this sign, roughly three decades ago, brought us the World Wide Web. Talk about alternative ways of connecting community and sharing knowledge.

In many ways, the call of Saturn in Aquarius is to reinvent your life, reinvent your nation, and reinvent your world along revolutionary lines. Aquarius does not do business as usual, and during this time, neither should you.

Heed the call. The world needs your knowledge, your big ideas, and your rebel heart. Roll up your sleeves, and let the revolution begin 🙏🏽.
